Abstract
In the article the author discusses the problem of specialists carrying out a pedagogical role in non-formal adult education, namely – the pedagogical role of the practicing psychologist in non-formal adult education. The results of the study are the characteristic of non-formal adult education, which combines pedagogical activities and psychological activities, and characteristics of a practicing psychologist that may implement quality of educator in non-formal education. The main conclusion of the study is the assertion that a practicing psychologist can successfully fill the role of a pedagogue when working with adults in non-formal education with an aim to their personal development, because the forms and methods of its work are identical with the forms and methods of work of the pedagogue.
