Abstract

The article describes that the changes in the society due to the military conflict in eastern Ukraine negatively affect the physical and psychological state of people, lead to an increase of stress disorders, to difficulties of adaptation and, in general, to a deterioration in the quality of life and subjective well-being. Based on the theoretical analysis of the quality of life, satisfaction with it and subjective well-being, it is shown that their integral characteristic is determined by psychological characteristics of a person, his/her lifestyle and psychological strategies to adapt to the conditions of life. It is highlighted that the process of adaptation to the military conflict conditions and its consequences requires an answer on what psychological strategies are used by an individual and the community, the implementation of which of them has an influence on the improvement of individual and collective adaptation, subjective well-being.
