Abstract

The book deals to the mining engineer training, forming its environmental competence based on GIS technologies. Holistic solving the problem of formation of ecological competence of the future engineer needs to determine its content, structure, place in the professional competencies, the criteria and levels of measurement, study selection and development of methodologies use of ICT to facilitate the formation of ecological competence. One of the promising areas of solution the problem is the use of GIS. The book is intended for researchers, teachers and university students, doctoral students, graduate students, for all those interested in the use of ICT in the learning process.
