Abstract

The article deals with approaches to constructing content of foreign language textbooks. Based on the analysis of currently prevailing trends in the sphere of foreign language teaching and own experience the author suggests didactic and methodological guidelines which may be used for constructing content of foreign language textbooks. The results of the research are represented as recommendations for authors of foreign language textbooks. These recommendations were applied by the author in the process of constructing Spanish language textbooks for Ukrainian school and proved their high efficiency.
