Abstract

The article summarizes the results of the theoretical study of emotional skills of service sector specialists; the structure of psychological readiness for conscious emotional response is considered; the ways of forming emotional skills of vocational schools students are suggested. Formation of future professionals’ readiness for the conscious management of emotional reactions, the development of emotional skills is carried out in the course of psychological training at vocational schools, in accordance with the nature and conditions of professional activity. This training involves the assimilation of knowledge of psychology, the formation of skills, the improvement of professionally important and personal qualities of students, the impact on the motivational-value, cognitive, operational, personal, emotional and volitional and reflective spheres of personality. The developme nt of emotional skills of future professionals in the process of psychological training will accelerate the achievement of personal maturity and their competitiveness and mobility in the performance of their functional duties; thus, in general, it will improve the quality of vocational education.
