Abstract

Analysis and systematization of theoretical approaches to teachers training in the Spanish University of Santiago de Compostella made it possible to identify the main trends in the development of teacher training, namely: entering teacher education in the system of higher education, diversification of teacher training, fundamentalization of teacher education through increasing of theoretical and practical components of psycho- pedagogical training, decentralization of education sector management, improving the quality of teacher through modernization of its content and so on.
