Abstract
Modern conditions of development of Ukrainian state demand the formation of a personality that is able to be independent, displays activity, is inclined to self-development, consciously evaluates himself (herself), makes efforts to gain respect of others people, different representatives of society, is aware of his (her) belonging to a certain society group. That is why the teachers and parents are facing the need to master the forms, methods of work on education of dignity as a basic value feature of a person. In our research we apply the definition of the key concept «dignity culture of a child» suggested by Ivan D Bekh. According to the scientist’s view, dignity culture of a person is a value attitude to oneself and to others. A person with dignity culture is a self-sufficient person who first of all evaluates his (her) possibilities and achievements orienting on his (her) point of view, and only then takes into account the thoughts, evaluations of other people, and what these people await from him (her). In the article innovative forms and methods of education of the culture of dignity of senior preschoolers are examined as one of main qualities of a personality. Special attention is paid to the characteristic of preschool age, specific forms and methods of work, the different types of conversations, games on education of dignity.
