Abstract
The article highlights the crucial philosophical and pedagogical problem of understanding of the phenomenon of «culture» on the basis of acquired knowledge in the modern system of multi-cultural education of young people. An analysis of scientific experience in the definition of «culture» has been done, and social and psychological categories that constitute the nature of the social phenomenon have been singled out, particularly in the modern system of multicultural education. Specifically, in terms of intercultural dialogue, it should be noted that each culture more clearly shows its richness and originality when considered in comparison with other cultures. Culture is proved to be the sum of certain distinctive features as a spectacular demonstration at psychological and behavioral levels that provides its character’s identity. Culture is not only the spiritual and material heritage of a particular social group but a collective code of worldviews, values, norms and rules of social behavior.
