Abstract
The article reveals pre-conditions of work of interdisciplinary teams to develop an individual educational program (IEP) for a child with autism Today in Ukraine there is a document, which has been proposed in a letter to the Ministry of Education methodical. based on their own experiences and those of other countries, we proposed to make amendments to this document. We are talking about sections of IEP associated with the diagnosis and the practical implementation of the program. We offer guidance for the spectrum and content of the special and additional educational services for children with autism, namely such areas as sensory, motor, communicative, social and cognitive development. We have proposed an algorithm studying of specific manifestations of a child under the widely known scheme of Applied Behaviour Analysis: antecedents – behaviour – its consequences. We offer diagnostics section supplement information about the barriers assessment: behaviour problems, instructional control, defective imitation, defective visual perception and matching-to-sample, defective listener skills, defective intraverbal, defective social skills, prompt dependency, defective conditional discriminations, failure to generalize, weak motivators, response requirement weakens the motivators, reinforcer dependency, self-stimulation, hyperactive behaviour, failure to make eye contact, sensory defensiveness etc. By identifying these barriers, the expert can develop specific intervention strategies to help overcome these problems, which can lead to more effective learning. We focus on the fact that the definition of barriers training and development of the child with autism allows to orient on the most urgent tasks for her or him, which should be reflected in the IEP. Has detailed features of the command support a child with autism in the educational space on short-term goals for children with autism: the process of their development, SMART- principles on which they are based, the criteria for selection of priority objectives, content and structure. Two examples are given with the description of such purposes. We note the need for a harmonized implementation of these objectives, agreed by all members of the IEP-team and collective responsibility for their implementation.
