Abstract

Industry as the main consumer of qualified tabor force and an important factor of economic development forms more strict demands for qualitative characteristics of personnel. Escalation of competition on the world markets makes it essential to accumulate and develop human resources able to produce new and competitive goods and services, solve the current problems of production process independently and in a creative way. Such developed countries of East Asia as Japan and South Korea have an effective system of corporate training, which is considered the best in the world. But under the influence of trends of globalization, scientific and technical progress many companies review their approach to the on-the-job training as the only way to the professional development of personnel and turn to the outside providers of training. Management of companies supports the initiatives of the employees in their individual professional development Such new tendencies in corporate training, the shift in responsibility for professional development from companies to workers, raise the question of importance of educational establishments in the training of human resources. Our research has shown that governments of the countries under discussion play the main part in forming necessary infrastructure for professional training out of companies according to individual abilities, demands and inclinations. It reveals the types of providers - establishments irrespective of their forms of property that provide professional training of necessary level of qualification for labor force, The author gives the general characteristic of the providers, analyses types of training that is offered by them. The great attention is paid to the main groups of student for whom the training is organized.
