Abstract

Purpose - to determine ways of improving the effectiveness of sports and recreation activities of educational institutions of the capital by analyzing the features of its organization. Methods: The analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodoiogical literature, statistical data and materials on the Internet comparison methods, observation, analysis and synthesis. Results: The state of the organization of sports and recreation activities in the educational institutions of Kiev. The features of sports and recreation activities in the educational institutions of Ukraine and Kiev. Identifying the ways to improve sports and recreation activities of domestic institutions. Conclusions: One of the effective ways to develop physical culture of the native educational institutions is to determine the use of extra-curricular opportunities schools with athletic and sports clubs and recreational areas.
