Abstract
The article deals with theoretical, methodological and practical advice on the establishment and operation of educational institutions working within the framework of social-active schools (community development schools). The article provides the information about the history of the social-active schools.The author analyzes and summarizes the activities of one of the educational institutions of the Kyiv region, which provides this project. The author believes that this experience could be useful for theoretical and practical application of the model of social-active schools in other educational institutions, considers that it’s necessary to create a separate methodological textbook for heads of the educational institutions that work in this system.
