Abstract
The article is devoted to realization of principles of sustainable development of the society in a comprehensive school. It deals with the essence of the humanitarization of science education as a variant of the application of education for sustainable development. Special attention is paid to the content, the fundamental concepts of human knowledge about nature in the context of scientific knowledge of secondary school students, the methods and techniques of their application.
