Abstract
The content of ethno-cultural education of pupils by means of decorative and applied arts in the out-of-school educational institutions is substantiated in this article. For this purpose, the main problems that exist in the modern system of ethno-cultural education of non-school educational institutions and require solutions are identified and analyzed. The main principles and selection criteria of the content of educational programs of the out-of-school education, especially of ethno-cultural education in the out-of-school educational institutions, are defined. The levels of the program support of decorative arts such as the initial level, ground level and top level are grounded. The author’s program «Art of Our Nation» for decorative and applied arts of the out-of- school educational institutions based on the foregoing requirements is described. The results of experimental validation of the effectiveness of this program are presented.
