Abstract
The article is about using written sources at the History of Ukraine lessons in humanitarian classes. Different approaches of the role of the written historical source are discovered in the historical development of the subject competence students (in particular, its axiological component). The research points to the importance of developing an algorithm analysis of written sources from history of Ukraine and gives specific examples of work with written sources at the lessons of the history of Ukraine.
