Abstract
The article covers the problem of didactic peculiarities of the general-educational component in the content of the school textbook. The approach to systematization of general educational competencies of schoolchildren, generalized in the form of a table analyzing six main blocks of these competencies, with the list of the main components of their types of educational activity, is substantiated. An example is an analysis of the structural and content possibilities of a school textbook for the systematic formation of general-school competencies of students.
