Abstract
Social and economical changes that take place in Ukraine demand from the state educational system to form a personality with high level of life competency, functional literacy, ability of continuous professional education, self-development and creative self-perfection. That determines an important social and economical task – to create and consistently develop a vocational guidance system that covers “school – out-of-school establishment – University” and secures equal possibilities for young people in vocational guidance service. In this article the problem of preparing high school students to choose professional future as the most important thing of their further life is considered. Effective career guidance technologies are presented. These technologies serve to achieve the main objective of career guidance – to educate a personality who can obtain a profession taking into account his (her) own competitive ability.
