Abstract
In the article the theoretical bases of formation of general school senior pupils’ readiness to the choice of professions of enterprise and agriculture are considered. Different approaches to the problem of readiness of senior pupils to professional self-determination are analyzed; the structure of readiness of senior pupils to the choice of professions of agriculture and enterprise as an integral quality of a personality is ascertained. At the modern stage of development of Ukrainian society, when Ukrainian education becomes part of European space, the provision of the proper level of economic training is urgent. It is determined that today all aspects of life need the high level of application of economic knowledge and abilities, and the circle of pupils for whom economic training becomes meaningful professionally broadens consequently. Important is the problem of activation of self-education of students. The row of contradictions needs the proper decisions: the introduction of vocational guidance studies at senior school and the clarification of content, forms, and methods of vocational guidance work. The modern professional environment demands the high level of professionalism of specialists at the labour market and requires innovative methods and technologies of activation of professional self-determination. There is a need to realize the professional potential of a person in the spheres of economic activity, agriculture, and enterprise. The insufficient work in the economic education of senior pupils needs special attention.
