Abstract
The article reveals theoretical and practical aspects concerning formation of students’ healthy life style as a constituent for occupational health formation. It is emphasized that beginning from the earliest age there is necessity for vivid person’ attitude to the own health, understanding that health is the most important value given by nature to a human. In current conditions of one’s life activity there is a threat of HIV-infection resulting in both dramatic demographic cosequence and serious socio-economic losses – decrease of manpower resources hence reducing the productivity of work and economic development rates. The primary role of formation and saving the occupational health belongs to a human through life style, system of values, guidelines, level of harmonization of inner world and relations with social and professional environment. At vocational schools one of the principal training objectives is organizing the proper preventive work. The author puts stress upon the following facts: at vocational schools educational system remains behind real society’s and person’s demands; there is lack of steady healthy life style motivation; major part of youth suffers from serious health and physical development disorder; there is insuffi cient systematic control as to student’s physical, mental, and health development; low level of informing the youth in regard to origin and consequence of HIV/AIDS, drug addiction, and alcoholism takes place; there is no complex purposeful training system as to formation of students’ occupational health. The following factors can be considered as unfavourable: the goal to save students’ health is not yet dominating one in a system of vocational education; there is lack of proper purposeful training for teachers and heads of educational institutions regarding use of health-saving technologies in pedagogical process; there is insuffi cient number of scientifi c and methodological works concerning formation of students’ occupational health for future professional activity. It is indicated that formation of student’s occupational health is an integral educational process that anticipates the next principles: axiological, gnoseological, health-saving, emotional, volitional, ecological, and physical.
