Abstract
Four models of transnational higher education structuring, developed by experts from Australia, USA, Canada, have been analyzed. They are: global marketplace model, global commons model, individual and institutional mobility model, student and provider dimension model. Individual and institutional mobility model and student and provider dimension model are revealed as a mechanism for sustainable development of countries` socio-cultural capacity. The model of global education market stresses the commertial value of the exchange of people and products; it maintains that universities compete for best minds in a world of limited resources. Global commans model emphasizes the open exchange of knowledge, goods, and information - of natural and social resources most useful when shared.
