Abstract

This paper highlights the features of the formation of reading activity as a component of speech competence of students grades 5-7 in the CEI perception educational texts, drawing attention to the need to develop in students skills for successful learning to read , the ability level of the students to read. It defined the stages of formation of reading competence , factors and techniques that affect the perception and understanding of written texts presented a system of exercises and tasks for developing abilities to read.
