Abstract
The article substantiates the concept of "self-education", "pedagogical self-education"; the approaches to self-educational activity as a factor of developing professional culture of special subject instructors of vocational-construction educational institutions specializing on construction are formed. The functions and motives of self-motivation activity are defined; the essence of personal and professional self-determination and instructors’ self-determination of self-education process stages are considered. Basic directions of self-educational work of instructors are defined on the basis of diagnosing. The principles of vocational schools’ methodology departments are substantiated, group and individual forms of intra-school and regional methodological activities are considered. Taking into account the specificity of teaching special construction subjects, the performance features of doing finishing work are disclosed with due regard to the properties of modern building materials and technologies for their application.
