Abstract
The article is an attempt of historical and philosophical analysis of some trends concerning development of skilled workers vocational training in Ukraine since its independence. Using the philosophical definition of the concept "trend" and ap-plying comparable categories of Philosophy (possibility and reality, necessity and chance, historical and logical, etc.) attempt is made to identify and analyze current trends in vocational education.The genesis of vocational training system is considered as a dia-lectical process of gradual loss of evidence of the past and acquisition of new stipulated by interaction of objective and subjective factors.It is established that very common, fundamental concepts of phi-losophy, reflecting significant, natural links and the relations of reality and knowledge, contributing to the achievement of a higher level of scientific analysis, make it possible to fully reveal and adequately analyze phenom-ena and processes of this education sector. This approach helps, in particular, to overcome shortcomings inherent in particular sciences which may unduly narrow the context, exaggerate description and insufficiently comprehend the problems, which in turn lead to superficial conclusions.It is grounded that the use of categorical philosophy apparatus creates conditions for the establishment of objective evidence of trends in development of vocational education taking into consideration their importance degree, dynamics, duration term, course of events peculiari-ties, nature of the outcomes and impacts.The author proves that considering practical focus of scientific analysis of correlative categories application will facilitate the cultiva-tion of progressive, innovative trends, curtailing or suspending the operation of regressive, unwanted or harmful tendencies.The author formulates the conclusion that due to creating specifi-cally sustainable organization of thinking process and ability to reproduce essential properties of phenomena for philosophical category in their entirety is the ultimate instrument for cognition of existing tendencies and prediction of possible trends in the development of national and international educational systems.
