Abstract
The article focuses on the approaches to the determination of criteria of measurement of the development of the professional culture of special courses teachers at construction vocational schools on the basis of principles reflecting the specifics of professional culture development and the main kinds of professional teaching activity at vocational schools. A system of the following criteria was determined based on the analysis of the approaches to the development of criteria and teaching performance and the professional teaching culture of teaching staff, including motivational target, professional technological, personality development and reflexive evaluating criteria and their indices in the object, general cultural, communication and methodology spheres. Levels of development of the professional culture of special courses teachers were determined as low, basic, sufficient and creative, and also determined were their specific characteristics and requirements to the professional performance of special courses teachers. Each of the criteria was evaluated on the basis of a five-point system. For the purpose, the method of observation, the method of self-evaluation and the method of self-analysis was applied in each of the spheres, questionnaires were developed and discussions held.
