Abstract

The article deals with the concept of “meaning of life”, “higher meaning”, “quality of life”. The high meaning (or meanings), penetrating all spheres of life, spiritualizes life, changing it qualitatively, may consist of several high values of human existence, spiritual forming a spiritual “sense core” of personality. The results of the study of peculiarities and conditions of formation of high meanings of life of modern senior high school students are presented. We focus on the role of sense interaction of psychologist and counselee as well as the system of meanings of life of psychologist that influences the process of psychological aid to people in understanding their meanings of life. The general guidelines of psychological aid to people in mastering high meanings of life are offered, which influences the change of quality of life are given.
