Abstract

The article analyzes the social and psychological characteristics of the unemployed determining the specifics of work with this contingent. The unemployed are defined as adults with profession, life and professional experiences that are in psychical and professional crisis. There have been presented the social and psychological characteristics of three main age groups of the unemployed which should be considered during vocational guidance and training, as well as directions of psychological and pedagogical work with these groups.
