Abstract
The article focuses on the cases when an individual is busy not with prophylactic concern about the own health but with treatment of already acquired diseases being manifested. Systematic strengthening of health which must become the need and obligation for every person has a great importance for further individual and professional development. The author puts accent on the fact that state of human health reflects adaptation of his body to environment conditions and makes a bottom line of interaction process between a human and environment. The very state of health is formed as a result of interaction between external (nature and social) and internal (heredity, sex, age) factors. Health is considered as integrative human feature that comprises both his inner world and all peculiar interrelations with surrounding including physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects; as equilibrium, balance between adaptive human abilities and constantly changeable environment conditions in which he lives. Health is taken not as end in itself but as means of the fullest realization of human life’s potential. Healthy way of life guarantees successful performance of social and professional human functions notwithstanding his political, economic, and socio-psychological situations aiming at formation, keeping, and strengthening of both individual and public health. It is indicated that unfavorable pedagogical factors such as: non-dominant goal of keeping students healthy in a system of general and vocational education, occasional absence of an appropriate purposeful educational institutions’ teachers and directors training concerning use of health-saving technologies in pedagogical process, insufficient amount of scientific and methodological elaborations as to youth’s healthy life style formation often take place. Direction of educational process and its constituents towards securing the positive influence of any training actions on youth’s health, towards determination of priority trends of preventive training, formation of certain evaluative characteristics on bases of steady motivation as to healthy way of life, understanding of the own health responsibility being the main factor of successful self-determination of a person in social and professional environment has to be one of the principal training and educational objectives of healthy life style and prophylaxis of HIV-infection
