Abstract
The article reveals urgency of ascertaining the problem as to formation of students’ prepared-ness for choosing and realization of professional career through aiming at actualization of personality’s abilities, transformation of a personality to a subject capable for conscious self-development and free choice of his/her course of life. It also considers principal constituents for a process of formation of students’ preparedness for choosing and realization of profes¬sional career. The author proves necessity for formation of students’ psychological prepared-ness for choosing and realization of professional career viewed as integrity of motivation, cognitive, creative, and reflexive components being essential for conscious organization and regulation of their professional activity. The essence of concepts ―career expectations‖ and ―career orientations‖ are analyzed and their main types are singled out. It is indicated that students’ preparedness for choosing and realization of professional career should be imple¬mented taking into account dominance of possible career orientations which constitute moti¬vation component. Introduction of students’ psychological and pedagogic support that in-cludes allocation of psychological and pedagogic maintenance while forming their prepared¬ness for choosing professional career by means of creating the optimal conditions for future professional self-realization is offered. The principal task of students’ psychological and pe¬dagogic support is guiding their professional interests, acquainting them with ways of adapta¬tion to certain professional situations and creative self-realization in future occupation. It is determined that students’ preparedness for choosing and realization of professional career must include formation of their skills to plan it independently. This process contains: primary formation and further constant specification of professional goals; determination and evalua¬tion of professional tendencies and bents; obtaining the decent base education according to a profession chosen; professional mobility that implies abilities and preparedness of a perso¬nality both to change a work place and to master a new profession.
