Abstract
The problem of forming of financial knowledge of senior pupils during the studies of mathematics is examined in the article. Financial knowledge is a necessary condition of the modern successful man existence. Financial knowledge enables us to manage own and domestic finances, to understand at the market of financial services etc. Today in some schools of Ukraine an educational course is inculcated «Financial literacy». It’s initiated by Department of education and science, Institute of innovative technologies and content of education, University of Banking and National bank of Ukraine. Elective courses «Financial knowledge» for primary school and secondary school are developed. The programs of these courses are ratified. Main idea of the article - financial pupils’ knowledge can be developed on the lessons of mathematics. Purpose of this article. Studies of mathematics with condition of successfully selected tasks and use of special form may be instrumental in forming of financial knowledge of pupils. A pupil must purchase knowledge and ability, accumulate experience, form the attitude toward outward things, to form the different types of values in the process of studying math. The system of rising generation values change always. A teacher may influence on forming of different types of values (mankind, civil, national, domestic, individual). Financial knowledge of pupil behaves to the domestic values. Task of modern teacher is to do so that educational values with need society, in particular financial knowledge, became acquisition of every pupil Considerable part of teachers of mathematics understands the necessity of development of pupils’ financial knowledge in the process of study of mathematics at school. The personal conversations of author with practicing teachers and results of questionnaire testify to it Tasks about finance in algebra and geometry are analyzed in the article. It is expedient to solve such tasks during the studying of percent, evaluations, functions, equations and their systems, progressions, derivative, integral, mathematical statistics, theory of chances etc. Solving tasks about finance conducts to forming pupils’ knowledges, abilities and skills and use mathematical knowledges in the financial sphere of practical activity, exposes subject copulas and role of mathematics in the theory of finances, forms cognitive interest to the study of mathematics, promotes quality of mathematical pupils’ preparation. Mathematics owns considerable potential for forming pupils’ financial knowledge.
