Abstract
In this article, the author has determined the place of social interaction in the educational process of comprehensive schools. The notion of "social interaction", the theories and concepts of its formation have been analyzed. The need is stressed to concentrate particular attention on its structure and components, on identifying approaches and principles of formation of social interaction of pupils. The author has indicated that interpersonal interaction with classmates and teachers, a desire to take a place in the relations of peers secure practical mastering by pupils of norms and rules of social behavior. The necessity is substantiated to provide a social teacher's pedagogical support as preventive and timely assistance to children in solving their individual problems in order to develop their skills of social interaction.
