Abstract

The article presents a practical works as a method of evaluating of the geographical competence of pupils. Characterized their conformity with components of geographical competence and content of the current curriculum for geography class 6 (2013). It was found that during the implementation of practical works on geography in 6th grade one can estimate almost all components of geographical competence of pupils. It was found out that the tests contained in the practical works of existing textbooks for geography class 6 recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for use in secondary schools in the 2014/2015 academic year are testing technologies for geographical competence assessment of pupils. The quantitative and qualitative analysis has been done of these test items and their examples are carried out.
