Abstract
For the first time affected problem introducing the concept of "reception" in the methodological apparatus Ukrainian historical and pedagogical comparative educational research as their particular function. Grounded role and specificity reception in these kinds of research, which is the complexity of its tasks, "the perception and image creation" and "broadcasting and adaptation". Three forms of reception, cultural transfer types of models that can describe the state of the reception of foreign ideas and teaching experience. Reveals the multiplicity of the concept of "reception" as an effective tool of research, multidimensional process, cross-cultural phenomenon, and most importantly - an important phenomenon that needs to be introduced to the methodology of educational research, since it can help streamline and systematize theoretical work, giving it a meaningful direction in terms of determining the methodological strategy , informed choice target.
