Abstract

Basic theoretical principles and practical recommendations for specialists working with the IDPs are provided in the article. The main topics relevant to IDPs: social identity, resocialization, adjustment to new conditions of life, acceptance of uncertainty, culture shock, cultural growth, responsibility for one's own actions, personal flexibility are discussed. The place of art therapy as a method of providing assistance to personality in times of crisis is defined. Art therapy techniques and technologies designed to enhance sense of support, construction of identity in the new place of residence, formation of readiness to change, setting goals, development of creativity and personal flexibility are provided.
