Abstract

In this monograph the author analyzed institutional transformation of university in the context of temporal and spatial challenges of nowadays. In particular, we concentrated on the problem of the relations between such important components of university mission as teaching and research and nationalization and internationalization. We identified national and international university rankings as a powerful factor of fostering changes in university environment. The monograph is written for researchers, managers of university education, teachers of social sciences, graduate students, students and everybody, who is interested in philosophical interpretation of the problems of contemporary higher education.
