Abstract

The article reviewed the essence of the concept "information", "information competence", the urgency of information skills formation for village students is ground. Ways of information activities in the village schools are listed. In particular, it can be specially organized activities for students skills formation: activity with information as at school - in the classroom, a special office (equipped technical facilities, access to the Internet network, etc.), so in after school learning (homework, excursions, work in the library). Formation of skills to work with textual information are offered to carry out occasionally in individual studies, consultations, periodically - during lessons under invariant component of the curricula in secondary school or systematically - through the introduction of appropriate elective courses, electives. So, formation of information competence of students should be carried out since primary school. (We mean working with textual information). An example is the implementation of the elective courses for students 2-4 (1-4 grades) "Reading. Understanding. Creating." (auth. Shevchuk L.). In the middle and upper classes are appropriate periodic lessons, discussions, debates, press conference, CEC, competition lessons, konsilium lessons and so on. In terms of educational district elective introduction can be carried out remotely under the guidance of a basic school teacher. However, high school students, if desired, can master the skills to work with textual information through self-education. We describe organization forms of students learning activities that are used for their effective work with textual information - front work provides collective or individual educational activity of students, group - plays an intermediate role in the transition from working under the guidance of a teacher to the individual activity.
