Abstract

Results of research on determination of basic and instrumental values of students and teachers of five educational establishments working with the gifted children are given. The study of questionnaires showed that the leading groups of values differed for the different age-related groups of respondents. On the basis of analysis the group of values, meaningful both for personality and for society, was educed. There was drawn conclusion, that the parallel system of values lines up for young people, that partly intersects with position of adults and comes out, from one hand, as the determinative of development of social competence of students, from the other hand – as the psychological and pedagogical instrument of influence on them.
