Abstract
On the basis of analysis of scientific literature it is revealed the most common methods used by Ukrainian and foreign scientists to design a competency model. The comparative analysis of methods of designing a competency model is presented; it is revealed the expected results, capabilities, limitations and risks of using of basic methods. The principles that must be met by competency model of heads of the company’s departments are presented in the article.
