Abstract
In the article, the essence of the content line “Junior Schoolchildren’s Reading Experience” as a key one in the formation of the experience in the work on the texts of different types was analyzed. On the basis of the workbook which was created for the textbook written by O. Ya. Savchenko (the 3rd grade), the author demonstrates the system of tasks for the formation of the third grade pupils’ skills, abilities, ways of the independent reading activity which promote the child’s deeper comprehension of the content of fictional, scientific popular texts, books for children at the different stages of the text activity. With the gradual increase of the complicacy level, the essence of the exercises and tasks aimed at the development of an ability to read aloud and silently, the test and assessment activity of the third grade pupils, the abilities to work independently with the reference printed publications was demonstrated.
