Abstract

A question of content constructing of Country Studies elective course, that is aimed to provide quality and efficiency of foreign language studying of senior pupils within the limits of foreign languages Profile education, is in the article spotlight. The essence of the Country Studies elective course in accordance with its aims, tasks and content is specified by the author. Complex of general didactic and methodical educational principles, meaningful for organization of the elective course, is outlined. Content of the elective course “German-Speaking Countries” manual for 10–11 form students of Profile school are described.
