Abstract
The article deals with the problem of developing the content of specialized secondary education. The essence of the concept of educational component is clarified. The conceptual foundations of model curricula for compulsory educational components are proposed. For subjects which are mandatory for passing the final state certification in the form of an external independent evaluation, model curricula should be two-level. For subjects and courses of other educational fields, model curricula can be of at least two types: amalgamated, which are built in such a way as to consider any global problem of humanity from different perspectives using information from various fields of knowledge; and modular, which are built from separate independent modules in such a way as to be combined into an interdisciplinary course corresponding to the profile of study. The article presents innovative models of forming learning profiles based on mandatory but not identical educational components.
