Abstract

War is an emergency in the lives of everyone involved, with irreversible consequences. Those who experienced or are experiencing this extraordinary event in their lives need psychological support in post-crisis development. Psychological support should be systematic, multidisciplinary, consistent, based on the degree and depth of experiences of catastrophic events, age and individual psychological characteristics of the victims. The first stage of psychological support is the provision of psychological help in the form of therapy of acute emotional reactions to the action of various stressors. The second stage may involve the formation of personal resilience. The third mandatory stage should be social and psychological rehabilitation.
