Abstract

Analyzing foreign experience, we can understand that in the world there is no single method of evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activities. According to each of the types of scientists, different criteria should be applied to evaluate the effectiveness of their work. One way or another, the mechanisms currently used in Ukraine to assess the effectiveness of scientific activity need to be adjusted, otherwise the data obtained will not reflect the real state of domestic science. The complexity of the task of measuring the effectiveness of scientific and pedagogical work lies in the very nature of this activity, namely: determining the list of results obtained in the process of scientific and pedagogical activity; development of criteria for assessing their quality; classification of all types of scientific products according to their relative value for each of the scientific fields; establishing the optimal methodology for evaluating the results of scientific and pedagogical activities. It is important to remember that these problems are not in a static state, but require constant rethinking, taking into account the transformation of research, the emergence of new information and digital technologies to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of research, reorientation of social needs. For the successful reform of domestic science, it is necessary to solve these problems in the near future. Therefore, there is a need to develop information and digital technologies for objective and transparent evaluation of the results of scientific and pedagogical research of each scientist and structural units of scientific institutions, which will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of professional activities of researchers, innovation and competitiveness of research results. healthy competition, will help to transform the activities of scientific institutions to world-class requirements. Moreover, the list of possible results of the scientist's work and the types of their recognition is constantly increasing through the development of information and digital technologies.
