Abstract

Soft skills are considered as a necessary component of continuous professional development of a teacher of professional (vocational) education. The defining characteristics of soft skills as a set of non-specialized, super-professional, cross-cutting skills that are responsible for successful participation in the work process, high productivity and not related to a specific professional field are presented.
