Abstract

The questions of activation of the formation of abstract resources, in particular on pedagogy, psychology and education through integration and establishing of cooperative connections and coordination of work on their creation are considered. The article stressed the importance of abstracting scientific papers and placing abstracts in the database “Ukrainika naukova" and its paper version in Ukrainian abstract journal “Dzherelo" as the first step to solving the problem of quoting the works of Ukrainian scientists in Ukraine and internationally. The results of monitoring of abstract information on pedagogy, psychology, education and the dynamics of its printing in four series of "Dzherelo", conducted by V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine in 2011 are examined. Singled out problems which would improve the formation of the branch abstract resources by the educational libraries of Ukraine.
