Abstract
The author considers unemployment as macroeconomic problem, integral part of the market economy, one of negative consequences of the labour market, characteristic of every society. The problem is becoming particularly important nowadays. The article indicates the results of the analysis of unemployment in Ukraine and reasons influencing its current dynamic. Two suggestions may solve this problem: study, generalization and adaptation the best examples of foreign experience in the Ukrainian economy and creating conditions for effective professional training of the unemployed.
