Abstract

The monograph presents the theoretical and empirical research on the psychological foundations of self-determination of personal development. The included empirical data reveal the objective laws, factors and conditions of a person’s self-determination. Considerable attention is paid to the practical aspects of this research, which will contribute to formation and development of personality potential, a person’s life goals, prospects, positive self-attitude, belief in own capabilities, awareness of own life's way. The other practical aspect is identification of factors and effective psychological techniques stimulating an innate human potential and supporting internal reserves, which ensure a person’s independence in choice-making, self-development and self-realization, contributes to his/her life satisfaction and psychological well-being. The monograph is addressed to scientists researching self-development, self-realization, personal autonomy, self-determination, psychological well-being, psychological hardiness, as well as to psychologists, psychotherapists, heads of organizations, pedagogues working at educational institutions, under- and post-graduate students.
