Abstract

The article highlights the issue of the historiography of the periodicals that cover the problem of the creation of Ukrainian textbooks on physics and astronomy. Based on the author's approach to the classification of sources of national history of didactics of physics, the main groups of homeland sources of textbooks on physics and astronomy were found out. The focus was made on the systematization and the summary of the analysis of the problem outlined in the periodicals (scientific and methodological journals, collections of scientific papers). It was specified that the historiography of the problem of a homeland textbook on physics and astronomy includes a powerful scientific and methodical area that requires careful research and study on various aspects, particularly in historical and methodological ones. The historiographical sources for periodic subgroups were systemized by their contribution to the coverage of the process of becoming Ukrainian textbook on physics and astronomy an educational phenomenon. The subject of research was the publications on the theory and history of textbooks, the definition of the main functions of a modern textbook and areas of development, testing and implementation of textbooks in school practice, creation of electronic textbooks on physics and astronomy as a promising means of computer support for teaching physics and astronomy as well as the formation of information and communicative competence, textbooks reviews, etc. It was concluded that in spite of the fact that the process of creating homeland textbooks on physics and astronomy is determined in the historical development and different in its intensity at different stages, it has a systemic nature and long-standing traditions, and its further study is essential for the modern didactics of physics.
