Abstract

The manual is devoted to theoretical and practical problems of applying the methodology of history and civic education integrated teaching in the basic level of the New Ukrainian School. It outlines the theoretical foundations that characterize the integrated approach in school social studies education, presents the conceptual and terminological apparatus of the problem, describes approaches to the development of knowledge, skills, and competencies of students in integrated learning, the structure and methods of lessons in which they should be formed. The manual will be useful to pedagogical workers of various profiles: teachers, lecturers of the teaching methods of social science disciplines at pedagogical institutes and universities, teaching methods of history and civic education at post-graduate pedagogical education institutes, teachers, students and postgraduates.
