Abstract

The article highlights the problem of implementation the museum culture into the content of modern education, because a museum is considered as an important social institution, the bearer of spiritual values and ideas necessary for human upbringing. It is noted that museum pedagogy is becoming a socially important discipline as an integrated, interdisciplinary discourse in the multifunctional system of the nation-building process, in particular the national-patriotic upbringing of youth. Citizenship, patriotism, national identity, Ukrainianness, Europeanness is qualitative characteristics, values that should be nurtured and affirmed in the minds, beliefs, behavioral norms of society. It is analyzed the European and domestic practice of pedagogical and educational activity of museum institutions on the basis of cultural centrism, dialogic strategy of functioning, qualitative transformation of museum policy, methodology, communicative function of museum pedagogy etc. It is emphasized that in modern Ukraine museums are a significant, creative and artistic addition to the educational and research potential of education. It is important the use in the pedagogical practice the educational (state-building, nation-building, professional, civic, aesthetic, moral) potential of most museums. The author proves that museum materials reproduce historical events, life and work of prominent Ukrainians, represented by many generations of national figures in the fields of science, art, politics and state building, literature, which allows to know not only the uniqueness of a particular social era, but also forms value attitude to a person, nation, country, culture, spiritual sense. There are defined the tasks that need immediate solution in the context of education reform, in particular in the development of a new Ukrainian school (to create political, legal, organizational and pedagogical conditions for access to culture).
