Abstract

The proceedings contain abstracts of the reports of the participants of the Ukrainian-Polish scientific conference "Psychology in the Face of the Russian-Ukrainian War", which took place on May 19-20, 2023. The abstracts reflect the responses of psychologists – scientists and practitioners – to the challenges caused by Russia’s large-scale aggression against Ukraine. The peculiarities of individual and collective reactions to war events are revealed, various aspects of the impact of war on the mental functioning of different categories of the population are highlighted, means of energizing behavior, psychological help and post-traumatic growth are proposed, and the problems of Ukrainian identity are considered. An important advantage of the materials of the conference is the comparison of the views of Ukrainian and Polish psychologists and the reflection of their cooperation in the difficult conditions of today’s war.
